Not as good as previous books in the series

If you binge on the Fox’s adventure, as I did, some parts become redundant and a little boring. Some investigative oversights feel frustrating . Good character development but an easy to guess ending

The character development continues to strengthen throughout the series and especially in Book 5 (Broken Ties).

Hope for many more

Great series. Love the character development. Some parts are a bit of a leap of faith. But all in all quite entertaining. I hope there are more because I am always looking for a good mystery with no food, bookstores or cats.
Narrator was perfect.

I sure hope there's another book

I really enjoyed this series, but I really hope there's a follow up book to this one.

Outstanding

I really enjoyed this book (and the series). The journey was faced paced, but had some humorous moments. I was completely taken by surprise by the ending. I love stories with strong women characters who in the end show they are human; yet do what is needed. The narrator was excellent, as she has been throughout the series. Can’t wait for the next book and hope there are many more, because Kate needs to be heard. Thank you Shannon Baker

Love The Kate Fox Series, But…

Okay, first of all I love this series. The narrator is fantastic, and there are so many parts in this book that made me laugh out loud. My heart is so torn between Baxter and Josh. Honestly though, who in the world is going to have a baby dumped on their porch, without saying something? And then Kate drives all over tarnation (in different cars), with a screaming infant (and dog), all while working as the only sheriff in two counties? That was a little much for me. Kate has got to stand up for herself! Otherwise, this is a very entertaining read.
I sure hope Kate finds true love before series end.

One of my favorites

I thought the whole baby abandonment part was a stretch at first, but appreciated the twists and turns it would take us through this next story. It was a good one and I’m glad I kept listening.

Great read

Another great book in the Kate Fox series! It kept me up late into the night , I just couldn’t stop, it was an edge of your seat thrill ride from beginning to end, I highly recommend this book and the whole series. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
