To this day, customers and grandchildren of those original customers still pine for the famous praline ice cream cake created by the author's father. This book takes you on a journey from immigration to the final days of the bakery's physical presence on the ever-changing Upper West Side. Step inside to laugh and learn about running a business in a different time and to hear first-person accounts of a bygone era.

I'm a little biased but it's a great story!
Take what I say with a grain of salt, because I narrated it, but Herb's story is wonderful. The love he clearly feels for the people and places in it is palpable, and it was a story that I really loved telling. I was sad that it ended! Oh, and that Praline Ice Cream cake has to be tasted to be believed. A mere description doesn't do it justice at all
