Informative and Inspiring

Loved It. Found it to be enlightening in many ways and an important message to the free thinkers of this society today and beyond.

Guidance against the odds.

Facing the truth about how we as a people have been brainwashed is the first step. I recommend this book be required reading in African American Studies.

I've listened to this title several times now and even went to buy the hard copy. It's a much-needed look into social elements that hinder the advancement of the culture.

This book can be a very important part of healing. When you know the truth, the truth can set you free, if you let it. This book is one of the keys. Use it if you dare.

we r not so different....

I struggled at 1st...NO FAULT 2 THE AUTHOR....some stuff was hard to here but definitely lead to real internal emancipation. The external historical oppression of people of color goes deep beneath the color. The tactics used by any oppressors reveals that we equally have the same vulnerability as well as the ability to thrive and achieve our God given potential. I am different as a result of reading this love letter......

I never write reviews because I dont think they will be good enough to get my point across but I had to write one for this book. Get the book and learn some new things about why some of the black community is how it is today!

I can see clearly now

Tom Burrell kept my attention the whole way through this masterpiece. I feel like the timeline kept everything in perspective and gave me a good idea on what to do next, what to look out for and what I can do better. Yes we can and yes we will be better.

Very informative. You put names or headlines to some of the foolishness we do to each other. I try not to add to our struggles like using the N-word for any reason or talk down to our people in any manner. Respect goes a long way. I learned as I listened. Thanks

A MUST READ.

This book should be required reading for all black people. African American, African English, African European..you get where I'm going .

What I iked about this book was even though it exposed the horrors of "The Original Sin" of White oppression and the 400 hundred plus years campaign to make the world believe that black people were and are inferior, it also offers redemption.

It explains the importance for black people to understand what has happened in the past so we can begin taking EXTREME OWNERSHIP of the present so that we can work towards a better future.

This book isn't about revenge. It's about hope and evolution for a people that have so much to give if we just focus and believe that we can.
