The fiction world of today needs a “Saint” more than it ever did. For years now that scene has been dominated by the “anti-heroes"—those grim gray operators in a sunless sub-culture where global issues are worked out with totally unemotional pragmatism, those hapless uninspired puppets manipulated and expended by ruthlessly dedicated little brothers of Big Brother. It made morbidly fascinating narrative, but it never gave anyone a lift until it climaxed in the hyper-gadgeted parodies of 007 extravaganzas.

An Old School Robin Hood Thief Story
Is there anything you would change about this book?
A bit more of Boston Blackie actually. Much of the book, while intricately tied to the main character, is about the supporting cast.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The most interesting is the concept of a thief with a inviolate code.The least interesting is the old style crime story, which is not nearly as interesting.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The performance fit the style of the story well. Kind of like listening an old Radio drama.Dislike, not much really.
Could you see Boston Blackie being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
It has been several times in the 30's and 40's. Done with more of a modern Robin Hood flair. To be remade today and modernized? Not sure.

If you like old pulp crime drama and film noir, then you will probably enjoy this.
