The
Smirkiness wasn't very bad in this one. I liked the alternative viewpoint here. It was refreshing to get to know a vampire that better fit the classic style, and to learn more about the possibilities of the venom. What we had learned about it from the main story in the series was tainted with bias from Michelle (not in this book). We get a sense of a greater history with an older vampire of different background. Very good.
