Amazing fantasy series
This is a slow-paced but enjoyable fantasy romance series with well-developed side characters and a relatable female main character. In the latest book, the main characters' romance takes a backseat as the focus shifts toward the complex politics between Orthros and Tenebra. Despite the toned-down romance and smut, the tension between the main characters is palpable. The world-building is immersive, and the supporting characters add depth to the story. However, the pacing in the second book and this one can sometimes feel slow, with some repetitive elements. Nevertheless, the series is a new favorite with refreshing twists on typical fantasy romances, and it's a fantastic read for its engaging plot and intriguing world-building.

Heavy breathing
Only complaint is the first half of the book… the female narrator had a lot of background heavy breathing that was very distracting. I haven’t noticed that in the previous audiobooks for this series. Just this one so far.
