Money comes and goes, with the biggest score always the one yet to come. Danger sniffs at their trail wherever they go, but somehow, they find a way to keep going.

Chuck and Mort make many friends in their travels.

And along the way, the two of them inadvertently help raise a boy to become one of the galaxy's unsung heroes.

Mirth & Mayhem is the full book collection of all 16 missions chronicling the adventures of the starship Radio City and the Ramsey family's adventures with houseguest/refugee Mort, along with six short stories.

The series follows a mismatched duo of itinerant comedian and outlaw wizard as they roam the galaxy trying to eke out a living and stay ahead of the consequences of their actions.

Black Ocean: Mirth & Mayhem looks back at an earlier era in the Black Ocean universe, and returning readers will get to see how some of their favorite characters came to be. Fans of morally gray heroes and slick-talking conmen will love this series.

You can’t go wrong

You can’t go wrong with JS Morin books. Especially with Mikael Naramore reading it with such great character depth. It’s like a movie in your head.

Great prequel tieing the characters back to their origin. You could almost start with this series

This fills in a lot of gaps from the first two in this universe and Mort is awesome.

I really like the of clash between magic and technology. I purchased mainly because of the length of the story. The characters were interesting and this book kept my attention throughout.

Ya read one you learn the players

Another great storyline by JS Moran. I love the black ocean series. it's long. it's complete. it gives you the backstories. it answers all the questions that you have as you're reading JS Moran is a great author

91 hours of "worth the credit"

I have exhausted this universe, or so I thought. I thought I was burnt out after the mercy for hire missions. I didn't realize I needed the prequal but for sure, I did. Everything I loved about Galaxy Outlaws and all the books in the in the Black Ocean series, lives in this one. I love every second of it. Seeing the influences that formed "Brad" was awesome. Mort and his deadly arrogance. More of Chuck's sleaziness. It is all so good.

This rewrites my perspective on black ocean mobius in the greatest way. I love this universe.

Why is this not a TV series???

Thoroughly entertaining adventures! Easily one of my favorite series and thankfully there are hours and hours of story that never derails from the storyline. I feel like dysfunctional family now has a new entry in dictionaries all over the galaxy! Well done!
