Acerca de esta escucha
Based on the Mythos of H.P. Lovecraft, Black Hole Constellation tells the tale of two brothers and their horrific discovery in the Cosmos. One brother is a man of science, an astronomer working at the Miskatonic University Observatory. The other brother is an astrologer, a fanciful historian on star-inspired mysticism. When a newly-invented telescope reveals the locations of several black holes, they soon learn the secret of these hungry giants. They are not holes at all; they are Gates.

Historia
Founded by Alexander the Great and built by self-styled Greek pharaohs, the city of Alexandria at its height dwarfed both Athens and Rome. It was the marvel of its age, legendary for its vast palaces, safe harbors, and magnificent lighthouse. But it was most famous for the astonishing intellectual efflorescence it fostered and the library it produced. If the European Renaissance was the "rebirth" of Western culture, then Alexandria, Egypt, was its birthplace.

Scholars have long believed that the first civilization on Earth emerged in Sumer some 6,000 years ago. However, as Michael Tellinger reveals, the Sumerians and Egyptians inherited their knowledge from an earlier civilization that lived at the southern tip of Africa and began with the arrival of the Anunnaki more than 200,000 years ago. Sent to Earth in search of life-saving gold, these ancient Anunnaki astronauts from the planet Nibiru created the first humans as a slave race to mine gold - thus beginning our global traditions of gold obsession, slavery, and god as dominating master.

Are significant numbers of humanity the product of an ancient and advanced alien civilization? Have we, across the millennia, been periodically modified and refined as a species? In short, has our genetic make-up been manipulated by otherworldly beings that view human civilization as one big lab experiment? These are controversial and thought-provoking questions. They are also questions that demand answers, answers that may very well be found by examining those people whose blood type is Rh negative.

Can love actually enable a relationship to survive death? The Afterlife Revolution triumphantly says that it can. After a near-death experience in 2004, Anne Strieber became an expert in afterlife studies and created an ingenious plan of contact which, to her husband Whitley's amazement, she proceeded to carry out, starting just an hour and a half after she died. As verified by famed afterlife researcher Dr. Gary Schwartz, who wrote the foreword, The Afterlife Revolution is among the most convincing stories of afterlife communication ever told.

Like Michelangelo, Galileo is another Renaissance great known just by his first name - a name that is synonymous with scientific achievement. Born in Pisa, Italy, in the 16th century, Galileo contributed to the era's great rebirth of knowledge. He invented a telescope to observe the heavens. From there, not even the sky was the limit! He turned long-held notions about the universe topsy turvy with his support of a sun-centric solar system.

In 1954, he took a sabbatical from his teaching position and embarked on a year-long voyage through India, Thailand, Cambodia, Burma, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and finally Japan.

Historia
C. S. Lewis had one of the great minds of the 20th century. Many know Lewis as an author of fiction and fantasy literature, including the Chronicles of Narnia and the Space Trilogy. Others know him for his books in apologetics, including Mere Christianity and The Problem of Pain. But few know him for his scholarly work as a professor of medieval and Renaissance literature. What shaped the mind of this great thinker?

Signs are meant to point us toward something: Jesus. Story in the Stars takes an in-depth look at the Bible and all the signs God mapped out through constellations, planets, and even the way the Earth is tilted. We are uniquely designed by God, and he loves us so much that he ensured a way for all inhabitants of the Earth, through all of time, to see the messages of salvation and redemption that he painted in the stars.

Historia
Before Isaac Newton became the father of physics, an accomplished mathematician, or a leader of the scientific revolution, he was a boy living in an apothecary's house, observing and experimenting, recording his observations of the world in a tiny notebook. As a young genius living in a time before science as we know it existed, Isaac studied the few books he could get his hands on, built handmade machines, and experimented with alchemy.

Why didn't the Chinese discover America? Why were people so slow to learn the earth goes around the sun? How and why did we begin to think of "species" of plants and animals? How, when, and why did people begin digging in the earth to learn about the past? How did the study of economics begin? These are but a few of the fascinating questions answered by Dr. Boorstin, Librarian of Congress Emeritus.

Historia
Nine remarkable men produced inventions that changed the world. The printing press, the telephone, powered flight, recording and others have made the modern world what it is. But who were the men who had these ideas and made reality of them? As David Angus shows, they were very different - quiet, boisterous, confident, withdrawn - but all had a moment of vision allied to single-minded determination to battle through numerous prototypes and produced something that really worked. This is a fascinating account for younger listeners.

Black Hole Constellation
This was a very short and very interesting little tale. It fits into the madness of the HPL mythos from a bit of an outside perspective. It was fun and well-performed by Danny Montooth. It was so short that I listened to it again to make sure I didn't miss anything. Kinda made me want to get a telescope and find a quiet field to look at the stars.

Great, short fun
A successful narration of a story very much in a Lovecraftian vein. Short, but erudite and with the right edge of believability that makes playing the game of Lovecraftian horror fun and intriguing. I look forward to listening to / reading more of Hollingsworth.

As Above so Below
I liked this story. Took me a few listens but at 17 minutes that isn't hard to do. Seemed more science fiction than horror but I liked the quick spiral into madness based on learning something that few know. Not a HP Lovecraft fan but I did enjoy this. Montooth does a great job with his narration.

A lovecraftian tale of celestial horrors
Fans of H.P. Lovecraft will be very satisfied with this short tale. Mankind’s minds are not meant to behold the mysteries of the universe. There are things that lurk In the dark corners of the universe that will drive men mad. One of these things can be beheld one the constellations of Black holes. Not for me, maybe for you
It was only 17 minutes and it was a struggle to get through it. I think part of it was the narrator and that I found the story boring.

Not Holes But Gates
This short short story is about two brothers, one is an astronomer and the other is an astrologist, they go on to discover several black holes with the help of a newly invented telescope....Danny Montooth did a fine job of narrating...Thank's to the author and FABC for providing me a free code for this audiobook.
