Acerca de esta escucha

In the deafening silence that follows the storm of the feast, where only the beating of the heart and the heavy breathing resonate, begins the intimate and often hidden story of overeating and bulimia, a battle that many fight in secret.

This story is not that of numbers on a scale, but of invisible struggles, of silent victories and defeats that only the echo of a soul can measure, an exploration of the depths where food, emotions, and the ardent desire for peace reside. Living with binge eating disorder and bulimia is often an experience that involves repetitive cycles of emotions and behaviors that can vary from person to person.

The day may start uneventfully, but emotional triggers such as stress, anxiety, sadness, or even boredom can quickly create inner tension. This tension seeks an outlet or a means of relief. The person then feels an irresistible compulsion to eat, often high-calorie or "comfort" foods, in quantities much larger than normal or than is necessary to satisfy physical hunger.

There is a loss of control during the overeating phase, where the amount of food consumed becomes excessive. The person may feel dissociated or as if they are observing the scene from the outside.

After the act of overeating, feelings of guilt, shame, and self-criticism are common. The person may feel profound physical and emotional discomfort.
