Your guide for this journey is one of the country's leading Old Testament scholars, Prof. Kathleen O'Connor, PhD. The William Marcellus McPheeters Professor of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, she was president of the Catholic Biblical Association of America, 2008-2009. Under her guidance you will gain invaluable insight into the spirituality of the Old Testament.
In this 12-lecture audio course, you will look at themes and passages selected from a variety of Old Testament books. Although these sacred books address the realities of ancient Israel, their messages resound throughout the centuries to believers in search of the God who makes all things new. No single book or text provides a road map for true spiritual living by itself; instead these texts work together to call us to witness God's presence in the midst of both joy and suffering.
