Very Informative

I found the history and background of the different translations very enlightening and interesting. The information about the translations was very helpful as well. Tim does a great job narrating the book as well!

Informative, Interesting and Helpful!

The place to go BEFORE you randomly select a Bible for authoritative info on the research and background on translation which will help you get the right Bible for your needs. Or if you’re a Bible nerd and simple want all the details on the how and why behind the modern translations available today and their origin history. I really enjoyed the book which I found very helpful on helping me make an informed decision before buying a very expensive ‘premium’ Bible for personal study. Check out Tim’s YT channel as he also provides amazing reviews on premium, and cost effective Bible across all major and heirloom publishers.

A Must Read!

I have been following Tim’s YouTube channel for a while now. Everything he produces he takes great care to ensure quality, integrity, and care. This book is no exception. This book is an accessible, fun, and informative glimpse into the world of Bible translations, translation history, and guidance for choosing the Bible that is best suited for your biblical studies goals and spiritual growth. Tim did his research well, explained the history of multiple Bible translations thoroughly, and keeps the reads (or listener) engaged with how we got the Bible’s that we have today. His book also gives the reader a sense of confidence that our Bibles have been faithfully preserved, guided by the Lord, and transmitted to us for our instruction (Romans 15:4). I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a Bible translation that is right for them and that they would find themselves more immersed and in love with God’s Holy Word.

Truly awesome book.

Truly awesome book. This book fills a gap in the books about Bible translations. It gives the history, pros and cons of many translations to help the reader understand the value of each English translation and which one(s) may be best for them. I really enjoyed this book and would heartily recommend it to everyone. As someone who has used and owned many different translations it made me feel less of a nerd/freak.

Exceptional narrator for a useful book!

This was an enjoyable audiobook to listen to. What Tim brings to his YouTube reviews is present and then some as he reads his own book. Worth the time to listen to!

Great Information

This book is very well researched but presented for anyone to understand. Tim gives a great background for each of the more popular or common Bible translations out there. Each chapter showcases a different translation and how it came to be. This is an excellent book for Bible curious people who are on the search for the translation that would best work for them. Or, this book is great for people who love reading the Bible and are interested to know how each translation came to be.
