Benito Amilcare Andrea Mussolini, born on July 29, 1883, who went by the nickname “Il Duce” (“the Leader”), was a deeply unbalanced tyrannical Italian dictator who created the dreaded Fascist Party in 1919. Eventually, he held all power in Italy as the country’s prime minister from 1922 to 1943. An ardent socialist as a youth, Mussolini followed in his father's political footsteps but was expelled by the party for his overt support of World War I. As an evil dictator during World War II (even murdering his own son by lethal injection) he greatly overextended his forces and was eventually killed by his own people in Mezzegra, Italy. Here, for the first time, are the words of the great dictator himself in his twisted manifesto on the political movement he started and is still so feared to this very day.

I am glad this is here

it's interesting to see how Mussolini viewed his own motivations for his actions. He saw himself as moral and a man of action.

We should see the views of others so that we may better compare ourselves and prove our own motivations.

Just because we see morality in our actions does not mean morals can't change, and the majority won't suffer.

No struggle to finish & was easily heard. I've listened to it dozens of times & put my critical thinking to the ideals & stances. Am I a fascist?....

Not really a story as much as pure doctrine

This book summarizes real facism as seen by the father of facism. Pure statism put above all else especially "liberal individualism". If you've heard people throw the word facist around casually and want to understand if what they are describing is real fascism read this book. Facism is anti human.

Rushed and slurred

Narration was rushed and had the feel of a first take. Audio quality is low too but overall was understandable.
Mussolini’s Doctrine deviates into historical interpretation and glides over the details and dark consequences of fascist ideology. Ultimately it’s a piece meant to be felt, and not pondered too deeply.
