Private Investigator Ryan Kyd and his sultry associate Carly Bloom have a less-than-conventional relationship. Witty, Fast Paced, Adult Thriller
This is actually the fourth in the Ryan Kyd Series, but the first for me. I'm usually turned off by books with this much language and sexual content, but there is a lightness and comedy infused into Below Zero that causes the listener to not take it very seriously . . . and no sexual scene descriptions. The short listen is perfect for me, and the constant action keeps you wondering what's next. Ryan Kyd is likeable. He's smart and he even recognizes that his assistant, Carly is a lot more than a pretty face, which is another plus in my opinion. The twists and turns, double crosses and international intrigue really make the story. I'm going back to the beginning of the series and see what I've missed. 😉
