Good series

For him #2, this was not bad. I favor book #1 over this one, but tying characters together and making their own story is great. I especially liked getting to know more about T’s back story.

Life after a Hurtful Past

Ti is running. Always running away but she can't outrun the pain of her past.
Drew is trying to live his late father's life. Be the man his father was and not the man he should be.
Ti is hiding on the island, Drew becomes her project, at least saving his shop does.
Both have to learn to let go in order to move forward.
I loved Grandma Jo and her words of wisdom sprinkled throughout the book in the perfect places.
I loved seeing Ti let her guard down with Drew.
The way the author deals with the tough subjects is very well done. Not overly played but enough for this reader to feel what the characters feel.

Hope from heartache

Complex, multifaceted characters shine through laughter and tears. Sweet Maddie stole my heart with her joy for life. Ti has survived an unfathomable upbringing but remains chained to her past. The many twists and turns in this story kept me guessing. The charm of Ocracoke Island swept me away.

Okay story

The story itself was okay, it would have been so much better but the narrator was so boring she made the story boring. It took me a long time to listen to this audio book because the narrator took so long to narrate the book, I kept forcing myself to listen. I wanted to make sure I gave a truthful review so I listened to the whole story.
