Beckomberga es un hospital psiquiátrico en las afueras de Estocolmo. Cuando Jimmie Darling es admitido en él, su hija, Jackie, comienza a pasar cada vez más tiempo allí. Cuando su madre se va de vacaciones al mar Negro, el hospital se convierte en el mundo de Jackie. Oda a mi familia, que recibió el Premio de Literatura de la Unión Europea en 2015, es una novela excepcional. Su autora, Sara Stridsberg, una de las mejores narradoras suecas de su generación. El hospital psiquiátrico, protagonista del libro, está ubicado en un hermoso parque cerca de un lago y adquiere dimensiones casi míticas.
Sara Stridsberg (Solna, 1972). Escritora y dramaturga sueca. Su primera novela, Happy Sally, se publicó en 2004, y dos años después obtuvo un gran éxito con la publicación de Facultad de sueños, su segunda novela. Su tercera novela, Darling River, fue publicada en 2010. Por Beckomberga. Oda a mi familia recibió en 2015 el Premio de Literatura de la Unión Europea. Además de varios premios importantes, ha sido seleccionada tres veces para el prestigioso Premio August, la última en 2012 por su colección de obras de teatro, Medealand. De 2016 a 2018 fue miembro de la Academia Sueca, que otorga anualmente el Premio Nobel de Literatura. En abril de 2018 anunció su renuncia a las obligaciones como miembro de la academia a causa del escándalo de filtraciones y supuestos abusos sexuales. Stridsberg vive en Estocolmo.
