Wonderful YA book

This is a sweet and innocent book about a girl who finds herself in a situation that makes her become a recluse and a boy she knows from school who eventually helps her back out into the world. It was some angst but shows how it pays to be honest and forthright with others.

The narration was good, there was some background noise that was distracting a few times but Megan is a new narrator for me and I will definitely listen to her again.

Definitely a great book for anyone who likes YA coming to age books.

sweet story of friendship

This is a cute, quick story. A reverse of Beauty and the Beast...this time the girl is the scarred one and the boy is a hardworking, caring soul. Their meeting was unconventional but loved how they connected. It is a novella so a quick read-listen.

Short, captivating and cute YA that made me giggle

I love how this hooked my interest though I'm not surprised how Kayla did it. No doubt, she's just amazing!

So good that I want more of them and the series.

Beauty and the Beach

A short sweet tale in the vein of Beauty and the Beast. Kayla Tirrell did a great job of portraying how these teens handled the situations that they were faced with.

Megan Meyer’s narration was well done. She brought the characters to life and gave the story a very real feeling.

loved this sweet, short story! the narration was great and the story was very sweet and fun!

Excellent story

The story was short but I really enjoyed it. So much truth to the story. I really wanted to cry for her and was so pleased with the way Adam handle everything after he got himself together. Narrator did both character justice.

Getting a second chance

This is a story about a young woman named Rose who is given a second chance to change. Rose was the popular girl and some would say mean girl at school but a diagnosis changes her life and opens her up to change. Adam is a young man that is just trying to help his mother make the rent each months. When he is offered and opportunity to do something for money it brings him into contact with Rose and they explore possibilities. Ahh young love at its finest.

amazing sweet YA romance

A beautifully well written amazing quick YA romance. This addicting storyline had me engaged from beginning to end with realistic story. This sweet romance included sad moments, jealousy, declarations, a little drama, different social circles and a fun twist told from dual POVs. The characters were interesting and both growing and learning from their mistakes throughout making for an amazing story. The narration was done effortlessly distinguishing between each character and with just the right amount of emotion really bringing the story to life.

Great Read

Beauty and the Beach (Boys of Summer) was another great read by Kayla Tirrell. Rose was a popular girl in high school who had it all until she got melanoma at eighteen that left her scarred. Adam works his summers at the tourist trap in order to help his mom make ends meet. He jumps on the opportunity to make enough money to cover rent if he breaks into Rose’s house. Rose and Adam’s encounter turns into much more. I loved reading Rose and Adam’s story and can’t wait to read more by Kayla Tirrell. Megan Meyer did a great job of narrating the story and keeping you enthralled in what happened to the characters.
