Beagles for beginners
As a 20+ year beagle owner myself, I nodded, chuckled and cheered as I recognized my pups in so many traits and behaviors described in this book. Beagles are among the most joyful breeds but prospective owners would be wise to learn about the breed before jumping in whole-hound - the need for exercise & engagement, a tendency toward obesity and the importance of good fencing and always using a leash. The narration is a little halting in places, but most of the content is insightful. If you are considering getting a beagle, PLEASE do your homework to find a RESPONSIBLE breeder or beagle rescue organization.
