Being a Marine and 3x Combat Veteran, and wounded in combat I found myself struggling to integrate into Civilian Life and finding purpose after returning home. I instantly related to the Author and admire his relentless determination to live a fulfilling life with Love and happiness.

As I turned 40 years old, John Henry Parker’s words encourage me as I too have been that kid, scared and hopeless. A father changing the direction of my past. JHP writes about his experiences with raw honesty, yet it gives us wisdom from his Aunt Gladys to the Warrant Officer offering much needed words to a young man eager to listen. This book is much more then a man telling his story of survival and grief, it is adjacent to a road map of self discovery and reflection. Highly recommend this great book.
