I've read this book before I liked it then. Listening to it after listening to Blocked I loved it even more since I loved Brit and Stefan (the couple from Blocked) who are secondary characters in Backhand, If you read Blocked first, then you see Mike starting his redemption and this is his story. Emotional, suspenseful, and funny, Backhand has it all and is a a great addition to hockey romance.

I received this audiobook for free from Audiobook Obession. This is my hones and voluntary review.

Hockey Romance - Second Book

This is my favorite of the three Gold Hockey books I've listened to so far. Mike and Sara's story just pulled me in and kept me engaged from the beginning. I loved how their romance played out. I look forward to the next book!

Gregory Salinas and Lacy Laurel, once again, were excellent narrators. The have great voices that keep the story running through your head like a movie.

After 10 years apart Mike finds Sara drawing by the water. They both have a past to over come. The twist was crazy. Loved them getting their happiness

Sara and Mike were childhood friends. Both would go to the ice rink daily. Mike for hockey, Sarah for ice skating. Both achieved their goals , Sarah an Olympic Skater and Mike plays professional hockey. Until a scandal forced Sarah from the Olympics. 10 years later, he saw Sara. Mike could never forget the young happy girl he was with daily. But she was different now from the young girl he knew and loved. What happened to her? Lacy Laurel and Gregory Salinas show the love and emotions in this story. I enjoyed listening to this story.
