Interesting take on future DNA

This futuristic book is an interesting take on DNA and its use. It held my attention but there isn’t anything between the pages that is outstanding.

Great Read

Set in the future it was fun to hear the author’s view of what the world would look like and all the implications that come with the technological developments. Plus a great story.

An ending I didn’t see coming

Fantastic! I will be reading this one again. It’s a truly entertaining and original piece.

Couldn’t stop listening to this

The story is so interesting and it really pulled me in with the futuristic concept of DNA selection for babies. The characters were quite interesting and the story had a few twists and turns. The narration was excellent.

If you love John Marrs….

…you will love this. I finished it in one day. Couldn’t put it down. Even though I figured out the “twist” fairly early on, I still enjoyed it because the characters were so well crafted.

Intriguing View of the Future

The story was complicated and felt drawn out in a few places. However, it was inventive, clever, and ultimately rewarding. That’s the sign of good writing. The characters were detailed and mostly relatable though Lily was unlikable for about half the story; it all worked out though. This one might strain your patience now and then but stick it out till the end. It’s worth it.

I loved everything about this book. It kept me intrigued throughout the entire book 🤯👏🏼 I’m picky about what reading/performance voices I like and this one I didn’t mind at all

Visionary Dark Net Thriller

Kira Peikoff's “Baby X” is an undeniably creative, edge-of-your-seat near-future thriller that raises the timely philosophical issues of the trade-offs between genetic property rights, population health, and market freedom.

The story centers around ‘The Vault’, an underground platform that democratizes genetic health by allowing prospective parents to provide their children with superior genes—offering more than their own biology could. That ‘hidden lab’ element of the story is made it very enjoyable to read. “Baby X” raises complex questions of loyalty, ethics, DNM design, and the future of genetic health, wrapped in a fast-paced narrative. Another tension-fueled medical fiction masterpiece by Peikoff; hopefully with more on the horizon.
