In this episode of The Your Level Fitness Podcast, I’m diving into a powerful question. Is your active lifestyle truly helping you build a better life from the inside/out, or is it becoming a distraction from the areas of life that need your attention the most?
It’s easy to convince ourselves that we’re checking all the boxes and doing the right things for our health and personal growth. We hit the workouts, follow the eating plans, and keep up with personal development, telling ourselves it’s all for our well-being. But sometimes, all that effort becomes a way to avoid the deeper work we need to do in other areas like relationships, responsibilities, or career challenges.
I’m encouraging you to be honest and compassionate with yourself as you explore this. If you feel a strong reaction to the question about your active lifestyle being a distraction, I suggest journaling about it. Observe your thoughts and feelings without judgment. And remember, if you realize you’ve been using fitness as a way to avoid life, it’s okay. You don’t have to tell anyone else. The only person who needs to know is you, because you have the power to choose differently at any time.
Decisions and the actions that follow are how we create change. I want you to feel confident that you’re building a life that truly serves you, not just checking boxes. Let’s make sure your active lifestyle is helping you live the inside/out life you deserve.
