  • Lisa Sharpe began stand-up comedy, only 5 years ago, at the tender age of 48. She'd finally created a platform for her voice and storytelling gift that she says has been influenced by her late and larger than life, Dad. 💕

    She has since, become well known around Australia, for her hilarious anecdotal comedic presence, supporting well-knowns and selling out many events as the headline performer. She has been described as honest, gritty, humorous, warm, charming and ever surprising.

    During the show, Lisa trundled us through an impressive career trajectory, paying humble homage to her many influences, including her dear dad and Aussie Icon, Judith Lucy – leaving no doubt that her later in life foray into the world of comedy was a path she was destined for.

    Lisa made us feel like we were on the north coast of NSW as she described growing up in the sleepy town of Ballina (which is also home to the Big Prawn) and everything that led her to the industry of “funny business”.
