Jackson Musker has spent the bulk of his career writing, producing, and sound-scaping for public radio and podcasts. For most of the last decade, he produced The Dinner Party Download. He also has produced Off-Ramp on NPR affiliate KPCC in LA. He studied English at Duke University and double-minored in History and North Carolina-style BBQ.

Octavia Chavez-Richmond

About the Performer

Octavia Chavez-Richmond is an actor, writer, and storyteller whose work has been featured at international film festivals and regional theaters. She holds an MFA in Acting from Brown University/Trinity Rep. Chavez-Richmond uses theater and film to explore women’s relationships to their bodies. She is particularly interested in women of color and their sexual agency. Her work disrupts hierarchy, racism, and misogyny, and challenges conventional beauty standards.

James Ludwig

About the Performer

A New Yorker for nearly 28 years, James Ludwig’s Broadway credits include the original cast of Spamalot and Little Shop of Horrors; Off-Broadway credits include Blue Man Group, Tubes, Bubbly Black Girl, De La Guarda, Two Point Oh, and the original cast of john & jen. Film and TV credits include Ghost Town, Chappelle’s Show, Lipstick Jungle, News to Me, and The Happy Hour Guys. Ludwig has worked at storied regional theaters throughout the country, and also leads the education department at the Off-Broadway York Theatre Company.

Wow

I wasn’t expecting much when I started listening, but wow I was blown away. I wish they would make it into a movie. I loved the story! I love the performance! It was like watching with your ears. I wish there was more and the ending was just WTF in the best way.

The most immersive audio experience I've ever had.

Very well done and interesting until the very end, I listened to it from start to finish in one go because it held my attention so well. Would highly recommend.

My first Audiobook on Audible

As a beginner with audiobooks, this story stretched the imagination beyond Mars and the Moon space exploration. Voices were perfect and I felt like I was in space with the characters. A unique Sci-Fi "love" story centered around searching and understanding the unknown!

WOW!!!

INCREDIBLE!!! One of the best things I've read or listened too in quite some time. I don't give many really good books 5 star reviews, mostly 4 stars, but this was exceptional in every aspect. I'm a 67 year old guy, and I don't mind admitting that I cried for most all of the last 2 episodes. I tear up a bit, quite often when reading, but not like this. I know everybody has their own opinion, but it will confuse me if anyone doesn't give this 5 stars all across the board. Excellent job, to everybody involved!!!

Thank you Audible!

This takes me back to the beginning when I first started listening to streaming audio books and in fact Audio dramatized books. Thank you Audible and everyone involved for a truly fun, and thought provoking journey. It was so great to re-capture that same feeling again listening to an amazing story and being so taken away with it all. Nice work.

FANTASTIC!

This is the first scripted audio I've listened to. I was a little leery at first not knowing if I could handle the acting but I am so glad I gave it a try. I absolutely loved it! It reminded me a lot of the Abyss. I thought the actors were perfect and the sound effects really helped me visualize everything. I did laugh and cry and truly did not want it to end. Do not skip this one. Especially where it is included in the plus catalog.

Enjoyable Listen

This live production of the sea in the sky provided many hours of enjoyable listening. I particularly enjoyed the banter between Ty and Bee billions of miles away from Earth.
