Mixed feelings but good

At the start the skill tree was fine 3 or 4 skills to pick from
In the middle and near the end almost 10 skills
To pick from
I felt bad for the reader a few times
He had to read them back to back three times in a row so I just zone out during those part and they are long mins
I’m going to try book 2 and if the long skills options are read back to back I’m just going to stop and return it

Super good

This book was super awesome and I love the new world this author creates and I’ll be immediately going to see if there’s a second one yet and buying if there is.

I don’t know

So I tried multiple things to fix how this story plays. I adjusted the speed multiple times to try and smooth it out. I don’t think the story is bad. I think the narrator is a robotic with sentence structure and it hurts the story very badly in my opinion honestly it makes me want to stop listening to it. It’s not 100% of the time either and it’s bothersome to say the least. To a degree its like it was translated from another language. With all the negatives in place I just can’t recommend it to anyone I know personally.

Levi needs to fix mic

good book but narrator needs to fix his mic. you can hear white noise. every time he speaks.

Great Story

Love the flow and world building mechanics of this book. Easy to follow along and keeps you entertained with the banter between mc and side characters. Looking forward to next book.

Meh

Narrators terrible reading and authors wording and word choice made this a hard listen I had to check and make sure it wasn’t an AI narration, but it got me through the work day.

you broke the bro code

you know what you did. potential pairing with someone who doesn't want to understand the mc, but wants to block him from sleeping with a hot monster girl Is terrible.

aside from that you got a great story here. can you please make it up to us fans and the mc and not c*ckblock him, but let a friend of his get to smash again pls thanks

Too many stats

At first it went really well without tons of stats but at some point I found myself skipping a ridiculous amount of the story because it was just all stats pages on stats pages. Really took away from the story.

I really want to continue

I really want to continue this series. the story is great. It's not the best series I've listened to, but I love the plot and characters. The only problem I have is with the narration. The narrator is very robotic with every character. If a character is excited or mad the voices get louder and if down trodden they get quiet, but there is no emotion. 3.5 for me but I'll round up.
