Authentic and Inspiring

Loved her real-life examples and honesty. Not everyone is at the same place in their spiritual journey and appreciated her acknowledging that and providing a few ways to ponder a concept or response. Lots of food for thought and encouraged to be more daring in my relationship with God.

Beth Moore at her best!

This was a short read , or in my case a short listen as I listened to this Audible book. What joy we would all have if we should choose to seek the audacious love of Jesus, to be an all audacious worshiper. The insights and stories Beth shares make it clear the seeks Him with an audacious desire to love Him more every day! She truly has 'verve'!m

Refreshing Listen From a Favorite Bible Teacher

After watching the 3-part TV series by Beth Moore on audacity I put two and two together and came up with the need to read/listen to Audacious by Beth Moore. As to reviewing it for my blog I was hesitant to do so because I didn’t know if I could write a review on a non-fiction, christian living book, and I didn’t know how it would fit into the set of books I feature here on Literary Treasure Chest. In the midst of all these doubts, though, the question of “why not?” started to surface and rain truth on the mud that began to accumulate. So here it is, the honest and colorful review of Beth Moore’s Audacious…

Audacious wasn’t my first exposure to Beth Moore’s writing, nor the first time I’d listened to an audiobook authored and narrated by her, so I’m very comfortable with her writing style. With that said, I did feel that the transition from listening to her on her TV series about the topics covered in this book, to listening to her read from her book was a little rocky. I also felt that the beginning of Audacious was poorly done seeing as she read her own dedication and I felt that it would’ve worked better if she, or the producers, would’ve had someone else read that portion, as have happened in other audiobooks I’ve listened to.

Audacious didn’t resonate as well with me as the other books I’ve read and listened to by Beth Moore. The only logical reason I can entertain for why this is falls to having previously watched the 3-part series over the topics discussed in Audacious. It sort of felt like I was listening to the same message all over again. But, I know had I not watched the series over this, Audacious would’ve impacted me something fierce.

What let me know that listening to Audacious for myself instead of just soaking in the message from Beth Moore’s 3-part series over it, was the very last chapter. My goodness, that last chapter warmed my heart something fierce that I’m still thinking about it almost a week later.

While Audacious wasn’t the best Beth Moore read/listen it still packed a powerful spiritual punch. I’ve never been good with keeping up with devotionals, but whenever I need an uplifting, or swift kick in the butt about my relationship with Christ the first voice of reason I want to hear is Beth Moore’s, so I’m glad that I have added a new listen to my collection of Beth Moore Christian Living books (So Long Insecurity is the first one.

Have some audacity to live the life that God has for y’all, no more compromises!

Where does Audacious rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I would definitely rate this at the top of my list because it was a quick easy read with an inspiring message.

None. It was exceptional.

Verve.
