Acerca de esta escucha
Ascend is an innovative book embedded with powerful tools for leaders, and offers an engaging way to share the path toward personal transformation with everyone. It presents a captivating allegory that helps leaders identify and break through long-standing beliefs that limit access to their innate potential for human happiness and exponential business success.
Through the experiences of the characters in Ascend, listeners see how their own limiting beliefs and mental models tacitly impede their quest for personal mastery and accomplishment, both personally and professionally. As the characters take important steps to discover and liberate their truer selves, listeners face the same key decision: Am I willing to engage in a life-altering journey to grow cognitively, behaviorally, emotionally, and spiritually? The answer promises to be transformational and profound.

For years Brian Weiss, M.D. has focused on leading his patients into the past, yet some of them experienced spontaneous pre-cognitive moments. When developing regression into past lives, one man went forward into the future rather than backward. He entered into an idyllic future life - a passage which helped him emotionally. At that moment, Dr. Weiss recognized that past, present, and future are one. What happens in the future can affect the present, just as the past also influences it.

As children, we develop stories about how the world works, most of which get improved upon and amended over time. But some do not, even as we mature in other ways. Opinionated, self-centered, and fear-driven, these “child stories” are the source of the behavioral and emotional patterns that hold us back. When we learn to identify and rewrite these stories, limitless growth becomes possible.

Integrating hundreds of studies with her own research and work in the Fortune 500 world, organizational psychologist Tasha Eurich shatters conventional assumptions about what it takes to truly know ourselves - like why introspection isn't a bullet train to insight, how experience is the enemy of self-knowledge, and just how far others will go to avoid telling us the truth about ourselves. At a time when self-awareness matters more than ever, Insight is the essential playbook for surviving and thriving in an unaware world.

Wrapped around an extended parable about a child, lost from his real parents and found and raised by a couple completely at odds with his heritage (his real family are renowned acrobats), this book shows us that the Gospel Jesus shared maybe different from the one we have heard. Each of us is born separated from our true Father and suffers from the ingrained habits of our "false parents" and even when we come into God's family, we often find barriers stand in the way of us becoming who God intends us to be. Bob Hamp encourages us to look and think again about everything we thought we knew.

Bonds That Make Us Free is a groundbreaking book that suggests the remedy for our troubling emotions by addressing their root causes. You'll learn how, in ways we scarcely suspect, we are responsible for feelings like anger, envy, and insecurity that we have blamed on others. Even though we fear to admit this, it is good news. If we produce these emotions, it falls within our power to stop them. But we have to understand our part in them far better than we do, and that is what this remarkable book teaches.

The inner critic is the voice inside our heads reminding us that we are never "good enough". It's behind the insidious thoughts that can make us second-guess our every action and doubt our own value. The inner critic might feel overpowering, but it can be managed effectively. Meditation teacher and therapist Mark Coleman helps listeners understand and free themselves from the inner critic using the tools of mindfulness and compassion.

Historia
This book is a call to action based on one simple concept - that personal freedom is a choice. Beth Kempton went from being a life-loving, risk-taking adventurer to a grown-up, settled down mother-wife-business owner before realizing the life she had built was suffocating her. She set out to find her personal freedom and along the way discovered that many others were also feeling hemmed in, suffering from anxiety, depression, and physical pain, exhausted, disconnected, and sad.

Not bad. The flow is choppy.
I think the principles and ideas are great and helpful. the concepts could be more clearly presented in the stories without the expansion after. I think it more like a series of papers than a book.

Great story. Key lessons. Easy read.
A Story that makes complex lessons easier for me to bot only understand consciously but also relate to personally is something special and not always easy to find. Recommend to anyone who wants more from this short life. This should be mandatory reading for any business owner or person in a leadership position. Amazing!
