Practical advice

This book was very helpful. It helped me build on the knowledge I had and expanded it to these I hadn’t even thought of. Very useful for artists beginning their career.

Excellent for artists wanting to sell their work

I finally finished listening to this one all the way through and I really enjoyed it! It is very motivational to learn and understand how other artists build and develop their art careers. I feel like the resources provided within this book can be some of the most beneficial content that currently exists for artists looking to start a career. Highly recommend!

Great audiobook

Now I want this book in print! I can’t tell you how much wonderful this was to read.

I have had the pleasure of following along with Sema’s work for over a year now and her book is just another example of how amazing the journey of following your art dreams can be. This book really helped kick me into gear in terms of getting the business side of my art organized and tackling those hard to do tasks I had been avoiding, or didn’t even know I needed to be doing. Highly recommend!

The content is great but the narration is ANNOYING

The content in this book is fantastic. She provides a lot of useful details about starting an art commission business. However, the narrator sounds like the voice on the elevator at the Ministry of Magic in the Harry Potter movies. Very sing-songy and only useful if what you want is to be lulled into a hypnotic state or fall asleep. Good narrators tell us the STORY in a way that engages us. This narrator reads this book as if she were making a public service announcement...for the duration of the entire book!

I do not recommend narration by Nikki Delgado.

Thought out and informative

This book was very thought out and extremely informative. It covers topics that will help to inspire me to grow my business in an organized and strategic manner. Highly recommended to any artist growing their business.

Possible to transition to an art career

Packed with outstanding lessons and practical tips to ignite an art career, this book has all the essentials to help the reader make informed decisions as they navigate through their artistic journey. A great resource of information, inspiration and encouragement for those on pursuing creative work.

Outdated advices that doesn’t work in 2024

Some advices in the book is too outdated, it doesn’t work anymore, such as use hashtags on Instagram. Instagram removed the ability to see recent hashtags.
