Arnold Palmer changed golf - and sports - forever. The winner of more than 90 tournaments, including four Masters, the numbers on his resume don't do justice to the greatness of his achievements. Because Palmer wasn't just a golfer in the golden age of the sport, knocking heads with other greats like Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player - he also was one of the first sportsmen to understand the marketing possibilities of his, and all, sports. Forging an alliance with sports agent Mark McCormick, Palmer parlayed his brilliance on the course into deals and paydays previously unheard of and paved the way for the multimillion-dollar deals that are standard across all sports.
But no one ever ended up hating Palmer for being a businessman as much as a golfer - instead, he was beloved for his powerful hitting, his nerve on the greens, and his great relationships with fans, whose nickname for him ("the King") was heartfelt.
When Palmer died in 2016, it was front-page news across the country. Wonderful Read.
Any additional comments?
I was really skeptical about this as I've already read a dozen books about Arnold Palmer and what could anyone have new to say that I hadn't heard or read before, but I bought it with hope anyhow.
The amazing thing is that almost nothing was old and recycled from newspapers or other books like most other authors use and almost all of it was fresh and wonderful and for me...touching as well.
If your looking for tabloid dirt, this isn't your book, but he draws on many peoples dealings with the legend Mr. Palmer in their own words and he does a great job of showing the many sides of Arnold that some people may not know.
I met my hero at the Masters tournament and he is EXACTLY what everyone says about him and his kindness to others. Arnold has served as a role model for me and in the process made me a far better human being. I strongly recommend this book to anyone that wants to read about how many of us SHOULD lead our lives and be kinder to others along the way. EXCELLENT BOOK.

The book spent too much time on the minut detail of various tournaments various rounds great shots etc. I would’ve enjoyed hear more about Arnies personal life this family insights about the Masters things such as that
