Great characters

I really enjoyed the characters in this world. I was so captivated that I finished it within 24 hours of starting it.

Infinitely Imaginative Author

A tender and touching story which is very well narrated and highly imaginative. While the story is captivating you cannot guess what comes next all the way to the end!

Easily the best thing that Couch has written

I can’t go into detail without spoilers, so I will just say I simply could not stop listening to this. Both narrators were excellent. I can’t believe I finished it in under 2 days. Incredible story, I will miss the characters now that I’m done.

Really Good

Very well written and performed. Highly recommend for fans of these types of stories. If there is ever an American BL TV series movement like they have in Asia, this story is one is likely to turn into live action show.

Beautiful

I lost my best friend to suicide back in 2020. Not only was he my best friend, he was my potential boyfriend. Turns out he had feelings for me in high school 2017-18 and we chopped it up as a missed opportunity since he started dating a girl. We remained best friends and while he knew I still had feelings for him I respected his relationship. His relationship ended in 2020 that plus being at a low point in his life, he ended it. This story very literally connected with me on so many levels, I don’t know how many times I cried. River got the opportunity I still wish I could have, to see, hear, and hug him one more time, and to say goodbye, I’d give anything. I can’t say enough how much I love this story. My heart goes out to everyone who’s lost someone and dealing with this ever ending pain. Take this book as a lesson, if you love someone tell them, life is too short. And if you need help please talk to a therapist I can’t recommend it enough or atleast talk to a friend or family member. Don’t hold your pain in.

Entertaining and engaging.

Another First Chance is another winner from Robbie Couch.
I don't think I even read the blurb when Robbie announced this book- having read, and loved, his previous books I had no doubt I'd enjoy this one as well, no matter the storyline.
And enjoy it I did. It was such a captivating premise and kept me engaged throughout. And it hit me in the feels. especially at the end when I found myself almost having to pull over I was crying so much.

The narration was excellent and I'd highly recommend listening to the audiobook. Michael Crouch can do no wrong in my ears, and Briggon Snow is wonderful as River. It makes me so happy when narrators sound age appropriate for the characters, and these two were cast perfectly.

Emotional Sucker Punch

The story and characters are incredibly captivating. I found myself looking for things to do as an excuse to keep listening. The emotional journey feels real and impactful. This book hit me in the feels not many books have been able to. Highly recommend

The performances were also amazing. They captured the complicated thoughts and emotions of the characters beautifully.

Crying

I honestly do not even know what to put here. This book is absolutely fantastic and I couldn’t put it down! Definitely tears streaming down my face at some points. 3 for 3!! Robbie’s books are incredible!

Captivating and entertaining

The narration is great and I love how much emotion the narrator puts behind rivers voice- and how they change the voice between the other characters to differentiate them when speaking.
