Good story, but a bit long-winded

A pretty long book for a story where not much happens. The narrator was a bit shrill at times, and I got pretty sick of hearing the words "Es war nine niemand anders als Mr. Reed". She must have said his full name a thousand times in this book. But I still enjoyed the story & liked Animant. It was a love story without making the heroine too lovesick or the love interest too Alpha Male. Really enjoyed the book.
