When placed against the odds in fighting a bloody battle on the small South Pacific island of Peleliu and subsequently moving the fight to Okinawa during the last battle of World War II, Judge Braswell Deen Jr. takes the listener back to a time when he and other United States marines showed great courage and love by offering their lives where the rest of the world might have the chance to be free.
This story And Some Gave All is dedicated to those of the United State Marine Corps, the warriors who gave their lives and did not return home. All warriors give some, and some give all. Corporal Braswell Deen, Jr., was lucky to survive, and by listening to his memoir of the marines who fought in the battles of Peleliu and Okinawa, it is hoped that their service and sacrifice are never forgotten or diminished.
