Listen to this book!
I have probably read over 150 World War II novels. This one has left me in tears. The story the emotion the authors voice it’s beautiful. I’m crying as I’m writing this. I have not felt this move by a story and probably all but three of the books I have read. It’s very good. I have to go get some Kleenex now.

A Tender, Well Written Story.
Beautifully written. So easy to relate to the well-drawn characters. Set largely during (and just post) World War 2, the author captures the spirit of the time very well. Perfect narration by the author. Well worth listening to.

A great read
Absolutely love the story. It held my attention and I didn't want it to end however he did wrap it up very nicely. A really great story if you like historical World War II

I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Such a beautiful reflection of a painful time in history. The thoughts and events of a woman whose life was shaped by events out of her control...an ordinary life filled joy and sadness.
