Great twist on the chosen one trope.

The protagonist, Shelly, isn't your typical hero. She's flawed and relatable, and I loved watching her grow and overcome her fears.

Interesting book

It is a very well-written and well-narrated story. The storyline is so divergent but also so complex. Many characters, and many storylines but everything is perfectly connected and everything starting to make sense at the right time. But be aware this listening is not for a week. It's full of kidnapping and horror stories. Make sure that you will handle it before losing. It shows how evil some people are. Overall great listening experience.

Emotional depth

While the story is full of action and adventure, it also explores deeper themes of trust, sacrifice, and the power of belief. I was surprised by how much I connected with the characters on an emotional level.
