When her birth mother suddenly appears in the Amish community and declares her identity to Maddie, her life goes into a tailspin. Will she allow Gott to help her heart heal, or will she remain angry and allow bitterness to win?

This was an unique storyline! In fact, in the hundreds of books I’ve read I’ve never come across it before. This book is suitable for middle graders and older teens.

The story was interesting and the ending pleasing. It was appreciated that the author tied up all the loose threads to conclude things! Usually I become so immersed in a book that I hate to have threads hanging. Like, what happened with Eliot? How did the Yoder’s come to adopt Mady? What will happen with Allison in the future? The author answered all.

Sorry that I personally didn’t appreciate this narrators reading.
