I'm not sure what to say. In one universe I loved this book. I another universe very close by I hated it. In another universe I drove my car off a bridge to get away from it.

Why not? Butterfly effect in short story
Captivating short story that makes you think about how your world would work if traveling to alternate earths was as mundane as taking the corporate shuttle. I liked how it was presented thru a cop procedural. But, just as soon as the concept takes shape, it ends too abruptly. Still, it’s free and Pinchot’s narration is great.
Quite a few of these are free. I recommend From a Foggy Night as a better, fully realized and suspenseful short story. I recommend passing on Becalmed in Hell, which was pointless, even for free.

One of the Best
This story is an all-time great. The way alternate timelines are presented in snippets rather than directly is fascinating.

why?
Why start a story, build a premise of interest then just say no more, done. Itruly don't understand the point. Waste of time.
