Be prepared to suspend reality

because Chad Zunker requires you to do that way too many times. Works of fiction often have moments when that is necessary to advance the plot but in this case Zunker over does it. And he exacerbates the problem by going into lengthy explanations to try to explain the character’s behavior. Better works of fiction take you there through vivid descriptions of scenes and characters that leave you believing you might make the same choice or decision. I enjoyed the book despite those flaws. It is easier to be a critic than a writer.

Great story and narration

This story is very good. It is fast paced and kept my interest until the end. The narration was great as well.

It really kept me guessing

All the twists and turns kept each part interesting. Rich characters you love and ones really easy to hate

Good story..worth a listen.

I liked listening to this. Sometimes with this genre I get a little confused with so many characters but this story had just the right amount to keep it on track and entertaining and not make me lose focus. Good enough character building to make even the hated characters have some redeeming qualities. I liked the ending was what I hoped for. It didn’t have any parts that I did an eye roll or were totally unbelievable.

OK IF YOU CAN SUSPEND BELIEF

As other reviewers warned, the characters are mostly shallow, selfish, arrogant, or stupid. The protagonist is the perfect hero. The plot is predictable. As others said, it was an entertaining thriller if you are willing to overlook many plot inconsistencies and foibles of several shallow characters. Not a total waste of time, but pretty mediocre.

Ridiculous

This book was suggested for me by audible, but it will be my first and last by this author. The story was ridiculous; not one bit believable. The only reason I finished it was because it was relatively short and I was cleaning house and running errands.

Suspense and keeps you guessing

This is my first book from this author. I was gripped from page 1 as the story unfolded. The author truly keeps you guessing. You think you know who it is, and then you don’t. Will definitely be looking into more.
