Steamy second chance romance

Fired Up is a fantastic small town, second chance romance. Naomi and Jake were high school sweethearts until Naomi left Jake with a Dear John letter. Fifteen years later, she returns to Bliss River and she’s determined to win Jake back by winning an auction for four dates. Jake has never forgotten Naomi and it took him years to move on, but can he forgive her and open himself up to a future with the woman who destroyed his heart?

Both Jake and Naomi had encountered some tragedy in their lives without each other which made them aware of the fragileness of life and love. Naomi had made a mistake when she had left town without talking to Jake and it was one of her biggest regrets. I loved watching these two reconnect and grow from their past.

I love, love, love Lili Valente's narration in any book and she once again knocks it out of the park. Teddy Hamilton brings Jake to life and does a good job of bringing Jake's pain at being left behind to life.

This was a charming story full of heat, heart, forgiveness and learning from past mistakes. I was so happy to revisit Bliss River and all its delightful characters. I can’t wait for my next visit!

Brings the heat!

All Fired Up brings the heat to this second chance, small town romance. I love a good firefighter romance and this book didn't disappoint!

Naomi and Jake have a history and in the 15 years since Naomi left Jake, they've both grown and experienced grief. Naomi came back home after hitting it big with fame & fortune and knew she had an uphill battle to win back Jake's heart. There's nothing better than a strong heroine and Naomi waltzing into that auction ready to win Jake to give her a chance shows her strength. I loved getting to revisit some of the Bliss River series characters while also having fun, new people introduced. I'm looking forward to Mick and Faith's story! Lili Valente and Teddy Hamilton do a wonderful job of capturing the different personalities of the characters with their vocal performances.

Love Lili Valente's writing? Love small town romance? Love books about firefighters? Love second chance stories?
This book has all of that and so much heart!
Jake and Naomi were high school sweethearts. Now, 15 years later, Naomi wants him back. Neither of these characters has had an easy road back to each other and I think that adds so much to their characters. So good!
I loved the book when I read it but listening to Lili Valente and Teddy Hamilton bring it to life was even better! I highly recommend both the book and the audio book!

Great second-chance, small-town romance

All Fired Up is a thoroughly enjoyable and all-around wonderful small town, second chance romance.

Lili Valente always crafts stories with heart and heat, and she gives us characters that we really get to know and root for. Jake and Naomi were high school sweethearts, and Naomi broke Jake's heart when she left town a decade ago. Now that she's back in town, he does everything he can to deny the old feelings that resurfaced. Naomi left because she was looking for "more" way back when, but now that she's had some experience, she understands that the more she was looking for doesn't mean that much if she doesn't have the man she truly loves. Both characters are hurting, and I love that their rekindled relationship gives them what they need to move past their hurts and find some happiness.

The audio, narrated by Lili Valente and Teddy Hamilton, is an emotional listen with some humor and tons of heart. Teddy really expresses how Jake is torn between wanting to be happy and wanting to keep Naomi at arm's length. Lili, as the writer and the narrator, really expresses the emotional turmoil and growth that Naomi experiences. They bring such heart and passion to the words.

Plus we get some cameos by characters from Lili's Bliss River series. It's always great to reunite with characters that seem like old friends.

It was cute and ok.

I don’t get why the ending was so rushed; he also got so mad and this deep dark secret wasn’t even a big deal. He also is so mad and then just bam forgives her. Seemed rushed and could have been a better “problem” in my opinion. She is a great narrator though, I’ll give her that.

Feel-Good Second Chance Romance

I was pleasantly surprised to find myself back in Bliss River with several familiar names (and even mentions of Happy Cat!). Naomi and Jake’s second chance love story took time to ignite, to work past old hurts. But when it did, things between them really took off. The secret that would nearly break them was one we could see coming. I was glad that things were resolved fairly quickly. I’m really looking forward to Faith and Mick’s story. We get a preview inside All Fired Up (although the timing of it felt a bit weird to me) and again after the novel ends. I am happy to return to Bliss River anytime. Plus the narrators (Lili and Teddy) were incredible. They really brought Naomi and Jake (and Faith) to life.

Good Second Chance Romance

I enjoyed this second chance romance between Jake and Naomi.
Naomi returns to her hometown after a successful career in TV and recent heartbreak. She hopes to re-establish friendship with her high-school sweetheart Jake, who is the town’s Fire Chief now.
Naomi “wins” 4 dates with Jake during a fundraiser, and during those dates they will rediscover each other, learn about the 15 years they’ve spent apart and discuss their future plans.
But will they be able to re-kindle their romance and find a way to each other, after all those years

Wonderful

No one writes second chance, small town romance like Lili Valente. The writing makes you feel like you’re living the story right along with the characters.
Jake and Naomi have come along way since their childhood romance, both of them have found love and suffered losses but maybe fate has decided it’s time to bring them back together. When Naomi decided to move back home she knew she would have to face Jake and the past that she left behind, but she wasn’t expecting the feelings she once had for him to come back so strong. Can these two set the past behind them and find love again? Of course they can, it wouldn’t be a Lili Valente romance without a HEA.

Loved this second chance romance

I enjoyed this second chance romance from Lili. Naomi and Jake used to date each other in high school but Naomi leaves town ending their relationship. Both of them have tragedy in their past and I enjoyed watching them find their way back to each other. Lili never disappoints with her narration and Teddy really captured Jake’s grumpiness. I loved the narration from both narrators.

Sweet story, great narration, fun dirty talk 🔥🥰

This was an adorable story ☺️ It was sweet but still brought some sexy heat and delicious dirty talk 😉 Not super high in the steam but I very much enjoyed what was there. This was a second chance, small town romance and was a fairly short story (about 5 1/2 hours for audio). Jake and Naomi were great characters and I hope we get to learn a little more about them as side characters in the other books in the series. The intimacy between the MC's escalated very quickly, but it still worked with the story. I was a little thrown by the switch to a side character's POV in the second half (only for one chapter) but it turned out to be an interesting way to introduce the MC's for the next book in the series. Lili's writing is really funny and she has so many great lines. #scandalizedbaptists and #cannibalbushguide are just a couple of my favourites. And seriously, someone needs to stitch #lesstalkmorenaked on a pillow 🤣❤️

I really enjoyed the narration in this. Lili is funny and does well with banter. I really like her narrating her own stories because that is how the characters sound to me when I eyeball read her work. I love her style (it's so very her - if you've seen her SM videos you'll know what I'm talking about), her male voice is subtle and she seems like a fun and energetic person which comes through in her narration. Teddy did a great job. I love that we get some angry, dirty talking Teddy in this! He brings the🔥for sure 🥰
I'm really excited to continue the series (actually already starting book 2!)
