She was a stuntwoman in Hollywood during the Golden Age of Motion Pictures, a time when stuntwomen were few and far between. She doubled for some of the industry’s most famous leading ladies, appeared in some of the most popular films, and broke ground for women in entertainment. She supported causes, made a difference, and left her mark in arenas other than just show business.
And then, after two decades of work, she was blacklisted in Hollywood. Alivia Chambers would never perform on screen again. Seven years later, she died in a horrible car crash.
The writer of The Horsewoman of Hollywood’s Backlot, Ariel Archer, brings you another tale in the Alivia Chambers Collection, a look at this iconic character’s life in the years between her exit from motion pictures and her untimely death as seen through the investigative lens of Alan Madison, Los Angeles P.I. and co-protagonist of another series penned by Archer, The Madison-McKinley Files.
