very satisfying end to a not so short story
good story with a strange ending, the narrator was very good and the tale has a very twisted end to a usual kind of scenario. A woman leaves her husband ( or was she taken?), but in the end some rather nasty facts surface in the grimy water.

Unexpected direction
I thought I had this story figured out three or four times, but it kept taking turns I didn't expect. That being said...just because I didn't expect the turn didn't mean it was good. The characters were muddy and dislikable in turns, and the story tried way to hard to be original.
Narration was top tier, though.
