More family-friendly queer literature by Alex Gino!
This is literally THE most wholesome LGBT+ book that I've EVER read, and very educational about queer history too! I'd strongly recommend it to any queer person, ally, or person interested in LGBT history or social issues of middle-school age or higher. As an excellent bonus, this audio presentation is also read by the author... 👍

Great children's book
Adults will love it too but I really could have used a book like this when I was young. Queer protagonist stories are hard to find and even rarer for having a happy ending.

nabor was kinda creepy.
I Love seeing how Gino went from toned down in their origanal book to feeling comfortable with broadining what they talk about from abilism to fat activism but the book kinda missed the mark. In writing it just kinda did the next problem aside.
A very weird detail I think is the main charecters relationship with there nabor ,thogh she seemed to do it without creepy intention she changed her shirt in front of a child but told them they didnt have to look, this was so the main charecter could get used to fat bodies but evan so. Also the belly bumps (its a high five for bellys they two did)weirded some People out but for me not as much. it also were phrases like abilist and fat activism that could have had better definitions.Also Audrey Lorde mught have been a better figure.( she was in the contest un not just pulling that out of thin air)
