Finally Feeling Seen and Supported
This book has been a huge help in understanding my relationship with my parents and how it's shaped who I am as an adult. For the first time, I could see the patterns clearly and understand why I react the way I do in certain situations.
What really stood out was how it taught me to set boundaries and put my emotional health first - something I've always had a hard time with. The book didn't make me feel bad or guilty for wanting these changes. Instead, it helped me see that my feelings were normal and valid.
The exercises weren't overwhelming or complicated - they were actually doable and really helped me start healing. If you're struggling to make sense of your relationship with your parents and looking for real ways to make things better, this book really gets it. It's been a game-changer for me.

A Healing Guide for Emotional Freedom
This audiobook offers a compassionate and practical approach to understanding and overcoming the effects of toxic parenting. I found the advice on setting boundaries and reclaiming emotional autonomy particularly helpful, with actionable steps that feel achievable. The exploration of healing and self-discovery is deeply validating, making it a valuable resource for anyone working through similar experiences. P.J. Nichols’ narration is calm and reassuring, perfectly complementing the sensitive subject matter. While thorough, a deeper focus on long-term strategies for maintaining emotional independence would have been a great addition. A must-listen for those on a journey of self-healing.

Great resource for kids of toxic parents!
As an adult with 1 very toxic and 1 slightly toxic parent, this book hit very close to home and was very personal to me. I've struggled for years trying to maintain a healthy balance of having a relationship with my parents while maintaining my own peace of mind. It isn't easy, and this book provides a lot of useful, timely and helpful information for people like myself. I highly recommend for anyone going through a similar situation.
