Bush, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump; integrated into the audiobook to emphasize examples as they project confidence, engage with their audience, vary their tone, speak in an even manner, entertain, educate, and provide powerful endings.
The audiobook explains the four different styles and purposes of speeches (informative, persuasive, demonstrative, entertaining). Then it offers tips on structuring a good speech based on your audience, the time available, and other factors. Then the audiobook explores best practices for the effective delivery of a speech, including effective practice and making sure you are a confident speaker immune to stage fright and handling slipups should they occur.
All of this is delivered in tone and language appropriate for a younger audience and shares some of the most famous speeches in modern US history from the National Archives.
Target age range for this title is approximately eight to 13 years old.
