Curvy girls yes!

I was given this book for free at my request but the opinion is of my own. Kady is a curvy girl and a geek awesome combination in my eyes since I’m also curvy and geeky. Great action and adventure. Some great spice with still an amazing story. I’m so in love with the fact that there is a fantasy series that fits the curvy geeky girls out there. Thank you!

Phenomenal, Breathtaking, and Brilliant!

I walked into this story hoping to find a heartfelt story, some heat, and beautiful hope. I found that and so much more! Within these pages, I discovered an incredible love story surrounded by a wonderful sci-fi adventure and overflowing with a breathtaking paranormal masterpiece. I was completely left in awe by the easy way this story flowed into my heart, captured it by storm, and conquered every part of it so completely. Nothing was left to chance, and I find myself in love with this incredible series! The characters left me holding my breath with their dangerous yet determined love and hope in spite of their circumstances. They touched my heart and mind deeply, and I know I won't be the same.

Everyone can find something in this story that they will absolute love! In fact, I found myself enjoying every single part of this complex storyline infused with stunning characters that never failed to leave me questioning them and myself. They dared to challenge me at every turn, and I lost myself to their world of edge-of-your-seat thrills and fantastic twists and turns. This is truly a series that will live in your heart forever.

Gwen Cross dazzled and enthralled me with her spectacular performance! She breathed life and heart and depth into this spectacular story. She is a superb narrator who has stolen my attention and gratitude just as the author has stolen my heart. I can't wait to listen to more of her wonderful performances!

Great Paranormal Romance

This was my first Aidy Award's book and I like her writing! This Paranormal Romance was funny and sexy! I can't wait for the next book in the Series! The narration was well done. I enjoyed my listening. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Good Story

I got this ARC via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This was a fun alien, shifter, magic, witch story. I loved how the interactions seemed so easy. Many of the normal clichés were used throughout but fit right in. Humor played a major role but did not overwhelm. Overall a good story.

Fun visit back to Magic, New Mexico.......

I need to preface this review by saying that I previously read the original Magic, NM, books, so I enjoyed revisiting Lacey, Frost and Topper. However, I think A Touch of Fate could be enjoyed without having that background. A Touch of Fate is a terrific blend of romance, action, and humor. The hero, Black, has a very dry sense of humor, especially in the beginning of the book when he is first discovering Earth and his attraction to the heroine, Kady. It was touching to see how somebody as isolated and lonely as Kady not only found a deep love with her fated mate, but she also found a family and home in Magic, NM. Aidy Award came up with an especially original method for Kady to access her magical powers, but I can't expand on that without spoilers!

Gwen Cross makes an enjoyable story even better. She adds just the right level of emotion to the character voices, and her delivery was flawless. She handled the steamy love scenes and the action packed fight scenes equally well.

Interesting Listen!

I listened to this book solely for the shape shifting aliens...Seriously, shape shifting aliens?!
It was hilarious, and sexy and definitely an interesting read.
The narrator did a great job with emotion. Author and narrator are a first for me and I enjoyed it!

3.5 rounded up to 4.0 for the story...

Kady and Black - a witch and a shape-shifting alien warrior... the premise sounded intriguing, and the book does not disappoint in that aspect. The plot is fast, has some unexpected turns and twists, and there's a closure to the story - although there's space for continuation, too...

There are a lot of elements in the book that I liked: the idea for the villains of the story - the spectral soul stealers, the way the soul magic works (finally a book which has hot sex scenes for a reason:)), the gnomes and their protective wards...

There are also some elements I found a bit too familiar, tropes that have been overexploited in the shape-shifter romance books over the years, like the mating rituals, for example. Why do they always look the same, no matter who writes the book...? Luckily, the author freshened them up a bit here, so that feeling of 'I've already heard it a million times' wasn't so bothersome:)

To sum it up, it's quite a good story if you don't mind following some familiar paths but just want to have some fun reading a shape-shifter/witch romance.

As for the narration, it's quite good. Ms Cross reads at a steady pace, not too slow, not too fast, with some voice modulation for particular characters so there's no problem with understanding who is who in conversations. There were some scenes I think lacked a bit of emotion on her part, but these were very few, luckily, and generally I liked her interpretation of the book a lot.

Sexy adventure

Great love story with challenges at every turn! There was a little of everything in this story: sc-fi, action, steam, intrigue and romance. This was a great audiobook and I would highly recommend it! Looking forward to the next in this series!

I had already read the book but there is something about listening to it that always brings it alive differently. I love anything this lady writes

After reading the blurb, I HAD TO BUY THIS! I must say, I was NOT disappointed! This book contains the perfect mix of PNR, comedy and heat! I giggled through the whole book. The writing was on point - the narration was great- I can't wait to read more!!
