With seemingly no way to get back home, Isla uses her twenty-first-century knowledge of the past to try to thwart Guy Fawkes and his coconspirators without altering the course of history forever. intriguing blood and simple sweet romance

I am not familiar with this part of British history but it was a fun way to get acquainted with the story and watch a romance unfold.

Loved it!

I really enjoyed listening to this book. The story is well written. The narration was easy to listen to. The characters and storyline were both great.

Nice, clean and wonderful history.

I did love the history. It seemed very well researched and I liked the effort on the language of era.

Great Story

“A Time Traveler’s Masquerade” is a wonderful story to read, but I will not recommend it to listen from an audiobook! Sian Ann Bessey is one of my favorite authors and I have enjoyed several of her books that she has written. She has written an interesting story which would be very enjoyable to read, but I listened to an audiobook of “A Time Traveler’s Masquerade.” I did not like the two narrators that did the narration for this book. It made it difficult to listen to and to keep following the story. There were many reasons that I did not like the quality of the narration of the audiobook and I hope that she finds different narrators for her future books. The narration made the book difficult to enjoy. I would not recommend listening to the audiobook for this story, but I believe that it would be very enjoyable to read.

Sian wrote a wonderful story with characters that came to life, moments that stirred deeper emotions and feelings, intertwined with history, and an ending that came too soon. ❤️

Love to sing about, adventure to keep you on your toes.

I love time travel stories. This one was amazing! The heroine is smart and glad she knows her history. To be caught up in an adventure, fall in love with a guy. All while trying to curtsey correctly, and stash your farthingale out in public takes a lot of skill! Isla is more skilled than she thought she would ever need be. Her life goes from ho hum to break neck speed to stop a plan that would overthrow the government, falling in love with a guy and his family has definitely helped Isla to appreciate everything she took for granted. She will never see life in the past or her own time the same!

A Great Read!!!

This new series by Sian Ann Bessey, is fantastic. A Time Traveler's Masquerade, has a little bit of everything; from romance to danger, emotional development of characters, and great story line with lots of twists and turns. I highly recommend this book.

Time Slip phenomenon

I really the way the main character traveled through time. Sian Bessey always makes historical events exciting and fun to learn about. Another great book!!

Narrators

I’m a huge Sian Ann Bessey fan but I just couldn’t get past the narrator on this book, it was such a distraction and hard to listen too. In the preview you don’t hear the man narrator so not a good preview of the book. Sadly disappointed. I’m sure the story was great just couldn’t get past the narrations.

Male narrator is boring

Good storyline, good characters, but the male narrator is dry, has no emotion, he talks monotone. Which is sad, because it’s easier to listen to audiobooks because I travel so much.
