In short, just infuriating. A late-night rescue leading to a drunken pass only complicates matters further, especially with the discovery that Tristan is both straight and engaged.

Hatred turns to tolerance, tolerance to friendship, and friendship to mutual passion. One thing's for sure, if Tristan sets his sights on Dominic, there's no way Dominic has the necessary armor or willpower to keep a force of nature like Tristan at bay for long, no matter how unprofessional a relationship with the boss might be. He may just have to revise everything he previously thought and believed in for a chance at love.

Fun Story, I Enjoyed It a Lot

This was a very entertaining, fun story, I enjoyed it a lot. Sweet office romance with funny banter, cute characters and win you over GFY twist. I liked both Dominic and Tristan they were so good together, and made me laugh many times. Narrator did a good job, I loved the voice he gave Dominic and even though the voice he gave Tristan didn't match the voice I imagine for him in my head, his storytelling made this a great listening experience.

You will want to marry Tristin

So clever and funny and deftly written. What’s not to love about Tristin? Dominic, as Tristins personal assistant, revels in opportunities to outrageously bitch slap his straight boss who, just keeps asking for more. Nice side characters throughout. I especially liked Tristins family who make an appearance towards the end. I loved every second of this one, though, Dominic’s insecurities were, at times, just effing exasperating.

The PA and the Boss

I really enjoyed the story - Dominic, the PA is irreverent, sarcastic; Tristan, the sweet CEO. Dominic has a bee in his bonnet about Tristan, so when he has to work closely with him, he sets out to be difficult, with humourous results.
Jake Whalley is new to me and did a very good job with the narration, though there were sometimes I thought he was a little laid back when a scene called for a bit more fire, (when Dominic is truly annoyed). A really fun way to enjoy a funny, sweet story.

Funny bantering 😂

A sweet and funny story about a witty PA and his "hated" straight boss who discover a fascination of each other after working together for a "temporary" period 😉

WOW, Hilariously Romantic

Jake Whaley just became favorite narrator for me. His performance of each character was so unique making HL Day story that much better.

A Must Read

What a phenomenal read. I cannot put this book down. it was hilarious! so hilarious! I found myself laughing out loud many times. I hated to see an end. I could have followed them for another three or four hours. I noticed the second book is not on audible and I hope it's available soon. the author was phenomenal. oh, I fell in love with his voice. Touche to the Arthur for a lovely job well done.

Fantastic

I've been waiting a long time foe this one to come out in audio and it certainly did not disappoint! HL Day can do no wrong and this one is one of her very best! Jake Whalley did a lovely job bringing this fabulous story to life!

Employee/Boss MM Romantic Comedy

A Temporary Situation by H.L. Day is an employee/boss gay romantic comedy that I listened to on audio narrated by Mr. Jake Whalley. This is the first book in the Temporary series and can be read as a standalone.

This is the first book of H.L. Day's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the relationship between Dominic and Tristan.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Temporary Insanity to be released on audio so I can get Paul and Indy's story.

Mr. Jake Whalley did an amazing job on the narration. He really knows how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of his work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like employee/boss romances, MM romances, or romantic comedies.

A favorite trope done superbly

I am a huge fan of the story where a seemingly cold, arrogant and aloof boss and his assistant find they have an irresistible attraction. This story of Dominic and Tristan, his PA fit the bill perfectly. Jake Whalley's performance brought these two and their hot and complicated relationship to life perfectly.
