I wholeheartedly agree that we are called to love others unconditionally just as Christ loves us. But love does not require us to compromise truth. We are all born with sin nature and proclivities we must surrender to God. That includes every area of our lives. sexuality included. While I respect her journey and how she chose to support her son, I believe the message could have more clearly distinguished between loving a person and affirming choices that go against God’s Word.
As believers, we are to deny ourselves, pick up our cross, and follow Christ. That doesn’t mean we love our children any less, it means we love them the way Christ loves: fully, sacrificially, and truthfully.
This book may still offer some practical wisdom to parents, but I encourage Christian readers to approach it with discernment and a strong foundation in biblical truth. I would have rated it much higher apart from the mentions above.
Helpful but conflicting with biblical truth
