Definitely a good read

I feel a lot more prepared for my visit to villisca now. This book was very informative and also very entertaining. couldn't stop listening 😅

very good, was a easy listen ,and detailed. The narrator sounded like a robot though

The story was good but the reader made it sound a bit like an automated recording

Some of his books tend to ramble on but this one seems to stay on topic.

A great rational exploration of the inigma of Villisca

I was prepared for another hokey cash grab with no respect for the victims of this tragedy- this is NOT this book. Carefully considered, rationally explored, this book was a breath of fresh air. I’ll be listening to his book on Malvern next!

Good, but sad

very sad story, but interesting the paranormal investigators. The reader was also good. looking for more of the same.

Great read

This book does an excellent job telling the Moore Murders story. The book shows lots of view points of what could have happened. They go into details and opinions on what could possibly be haunting the house.

Death In the Night

The murder of the Moore family and two of their young friends has shocked people for decades. The senseless murder, the gruesome crime scene, and the lack of anyone being held accountable has led to many believing that the house itself is haunted.

Richard Estep goes inside the house and discusses his investigations there, as well as some others that have been done inside the home. This was an interesting look at the case, the paranormal instances that have occurred.

Interesting read overall!

Good Read/Listen To Accompany Other Research Before Heading to Vallisca

I greatly appreciate the fact that Richard does not claim to have the answers or know "the truth". As there is not currently a way to conclusively and universally scientifically prove the existence of ghosts nor how any of the paranormal, if it exists, works. He also does a good job of presenting as much knowledge and information to the reader concerning this tragedy and the people involved both known and speculated. As well as the many different paranormal investiagtors experiences, opinions, and their evidence of the hauntings. All while trying to maintain a place of nuetrality, and receptivity for himself and for the reader. I found this book to be a helpful source of information, ideas and opinions to accompany my own research prior to my investiagtion of the home coming up this December. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who would like some more insight and information regarding the history of this tiny house in Vallisca, the family and their friends who lived and spent time there and the possible hauntings that now take place there.

Not your average paranormal book

Sounds like the author was trying to solve the murders than do a paranormal investigation. It seems that each person was giving their own opinions on the crime and acting like criminologists. I am highly skeptical of ouija boards and dowsing rods because they can be easily manipulated. As a paranormal investigator myself, I like to capture my own evidence using scientific resources. I would like to do my own investigation of this house.
