This was a cute short love story! Waverly does her job planning a destination wedding for a best friend and sister. While she minding her business and being a klutz lol Nox swoops in and throws her life into a crazy roller coaster of emotions . They both have been burned so trust is an issue. To see if they over come their issues to let fresh new love in download this cute story and find out. I hope DL Lane and Shelly Small decide to write more into this and make it a little series. They did an awesome job hooking you. Eric and Nicole did an awesome job telling us the story with emotion and keeping us wanting more until the end.

This heartwarming story is just what I needed to start my weekend! DL Lane and Shelly Small have penned the perfect romance to make me smile and fall in love. Waverly lives on the beautiful island of St Martin and is a wedding planner. While planning the wedding for her latest client, she has the pleasure to meet the Nox, brother of the bride who just happens to be the grooms best friend. Instant attraction between these two have sparks flying. But Waverly is hesitant. She can't give her heart on a whim to someone who lives far away. Hurt in the past, she is on guard. Will Nox win her over? And will he prove to her his love? I will tell you, I love this story. It is realistic and delves into the insecurities we all have faced. Showing how communication is key Lane and Small meld their talents, creating Waverly and Nox with love and emotion. A fun, easy listen that is like going on vacation.

Eric Reed and Nicole Goode are our narration team bringing this wonderful story to life. They are both new to me narrators and they have voices that compliment each other. Reed becomes Nox, warm, loving and attentive. Goode falls into character as Waverly, feeling her guarded heart and growing love. This is a perfect casting and wonderful listen.

Great Story & Listen🎧 Charming & Delightful!

This is a wonderfully entertaining romance novel, it is well-written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. Waverly Chastain, a wedding planner, who plans dream weddings for everyone but herself because she has never met her special someone, or has she? But that does not stop her from making that New Year’s wish for that special someone. Lennox “Nox” Hollister’s sister is marrying his best friend, a destination wedding in St. Martin, his friend could not make the meeting with the wedding planner so he stepped in for him but it was not the plans that captured his attention it was on the wedding planner. Except Nox was done with relationships, his last one left a foul taste in his mouth, but there is something about Waverly that makes him want to give love a chance again. Can these two get past their own issues and open their hearts to let love in? This charming and wonderfully plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, heartfelt emotions and a delightful romance. D.L. Lane and Shelly Small, thank you for this fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧 📚🎧 And for the terrific narration, Eric Reed and Nicole Goode did a great job bringing the characters and story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, gave each a voice that fit that character’s persona, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen.

Nox & Waverly

Such a cute couple! My tastes usually learn towards more naughty stories, but every now and then I come across a story that makes me say “awe”. This was a quick listen and although the relationship wasn’t exactly perfect, I still felt like it was low angst and sweet.

They story itself was very cute! I, personally, did not like the switch back and forth of voice actors. I understood the purpose, but it would throw me from the story.

Too cute

Will the wedding planner who makes bride's dreams come true find her own happily ever after?

This was a cute, sweet, laugh out loud at times story. I'm a fan of D.L. Lane's work, but a new to me listener of author Shelly Small. I can say they wrote some memorable characters who I found myself rooting for.

This story isn't high drama filled with angst, but is on the more lighthearted side which was a welcome break. The narrators we're new to me as well. The female narrator has a pleasant voice and a natural flow to her narration. The male narrator has that raspy deep voice but a sort of odd stilt as if he's trying too hard. The other thing that bothered me was his emphasis on the words, and, and but. That was odd. Regardless, I enjoyed the story. A New Year's Wish is worth listening to and will make you smile with a feel-good ending.

Solid but not outstanding

The story is solid but not amazing. It was a bit predictable. I was also fairly confused because at the end it said epilogue and then was actually the conclusion of the story rather than an addendum.

Cute story

Really enjoyed the story. The characters were great. Kind of wonder is there a story for Knox’s sister and best friend. Enjoyed the narration as well.

If you are looking for a great romance that is beautifully narrated, you need to check this one out! The story is well written and the narrators capture the spirit of each character with their performance. So happy I came across this book!

This is a cute, fun story I enjoyed lIstening to.
Waverly, the professional wedding planner, knows not to get involved with client. But Knox was the brother of the bride.
some unfortunate mishaps, and interruption s at the most inopportune times,, throw in some romance and drama this story was an enjoyable.listen.
Nicole Goode and Eric Reed brought this delightful story to life.
