In her speech to the Hague - World Legal Forum on December 8, 2009, Dr. Gaytri Kachroo, attorney for Harry Markopolos and Patricia Cohen, speaks out on behalf of Madoff investors and attorneys worldwide as Vice-Chair of the Global Alliance on the Madoff case, for an International Finance Court to adjudicate transnational financial fraud and other financial claims.

Dr. Kachroo, who holds a doctoral degree from the Harvard Law School, argues that the causes and solutions to financial fraud devolve from cycles of laissez-faire and integration as global finance increases in complexity. Her proposal, if adopted, would enable fully transparent enforcement and protection of private claims transcending national borders for the first time in history.

Thought provoking piece!

This is a thoughtful and thought provoking talk about the cycles that inform international regulation and dispute resolution. We need as many ideas about frameworks for cross-border conflict resolution in private and public arenas as possible. This talk helps the discussion along. I would like to see the journal article on which the speech is based!

misleading

The financial crisis was caused by the government lowering your standards the home loans require the bank to disregard but your issue messages to people who they know and I can forward it all involve a political correctness

I was really impressed by what Dr. Kachroo had to say. It was an innovative speech complete with exactly the kind of out of the box thinking that we need in this transitional era of international financial regulation.

This is a well-thought out proposal for a tribunal to settle international financial disputes. This is critical to solve the jurisdictional issues that the system currently faces. Policymakers would greatly benefit from listening to and internalizing the lessons of the lecture.

Do not download this title under any circumstances. Not only does the content feel like the work of an ivory tower hack with no understanding of the reality of international regulation, but the narrator's cackling voice is so piercing as to be unbearable.
