I need more!

Holy shit that ending! I have so many questions and I’m so PISSED there’s not even a release date for the next book! I don’t know if I can wait a year to see Alarics reaction…what he’ll do, that he’ll discover, how they’ll find their way back to each other.

The world building in these books is pretty incredible and seeing the world eater in this one was just glorious! When this series was suggested as a dragon book I honestly didn’t get it during the first one. Now I get it. Now I can see their scales shimmering in the Nenavar sunlight. I love it! I wish there’s was *slightly* more of them, but I also wish that about the spice 🌶️ - both amazingly awesome, both I desperately need more of!

what a cliffhanger hanger

I have loved everything about this series so far. From the complex feelings, the royal system, the magic. All of it sucks you into the story. To leave us on that kind of cliffhanger though how will I making to book three release date.

Yay for dragons

I enjoyed the second in the series. This magic system is fantastic and it’s been awesome to see it developed further.

Wow wow wow. What a perfect follow up. But beware… major cliffhanger. Worth it. But it’s brutal.

Storyline is fantastic

The writing and character development are wonderful, very fun listen. Very exciting sequel, can’t wait for #3.

A little too much spice, but overall the story is interesting and has some twists and turns.

Fantastic narration

Not just a great follow up story to book one but also a wonderfully narrated one. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the shocking cliffhanger. Hopefully we get an update on book 3 soon.

A Harrowing Adventure in the most Beautiful Place

Guanzon does it again, keeping us entertained and interested enough that putting the book down is always difficult. While following Taliesen and Alaric on their journey to the moonless dark we also explore their traumas and feelings for each other. We see them make friends and become accustomed to a life where they aren’t just tools. They begin to wrestle against their tethers and loyalties that do not coincide with their hearts. It’s a lovely, frustrating, gorgeous, wild ride.

Fast paced, spicy romance, great kick off from Book 1

How will I be able to read for the rest of the year now? For Thea has placed me in quite the reading slump.. adding her to only two other authors who’ve plagued me with this before. Her world building is top tier, I have not stopped thinking of this book scene by scene, scarred in my memories! Her writing of spice has been my favorite, she’s so talented with her words. She’s a master at the SLOW burn, but my gosh does she reward you in this book. The beautiful lands, stunning magical systems and true enemies to lovers who love to fight and…. ♾️/⭐️

Slow to point

I truly love the story line and the characters. The 10 of the 12 hours were spent in a prolonged romance with good character building but no storyline development. Felt like the last 2 hours the author packed so much in and left us on a cliff hanger. Hopefully next book is much better and brings the war storyline back to center
